The StoryMap I created about places that appear in my favorite poems.

In a blog post on your portfolio site, reflect on the experience of learning how to use StoryMaps. How would you feel about helping someone else learn how to use it? What did you find most interesting? What did you find most frustrating? What questions do you still have, and what parts of the tool do you want to explore more deeply?

Answer:

I would love to help someone learn how to use StoryMaps. This tool can emphasize the emotional and cultural significance of places through the stories that people tell with it. It was nice that I could search for a place and the application would pin it on the map for me. I found editing the text frustrating, since certain formatting options are missing (like changing the spacing between lines).  That made it hard to input the poems in their original shape. I would love to think about what else I can showcase in an interesting way using this tool.
